Orange County Scout Wins a Gold Medal in International Competition in France

Taleah B is a young woman who's making her mark both on the ice and in her community as a proud Scout. As a member of the synchronized ice skating team, Teams Elite Senior, Taleah recently competed in the French Cup in Rouen, France, representing the United States with her exceptional talent and skill. She faced off against top athletes from around the world and came out on top with a First Place finish, a Gold Medal, and the highly-coveted French Cup.

But Taleah's accomplishments don't end on the ice. She's also an accomplished Eagle Scout, having earned the highest rank in Scouts BSA in the Inaugural Class of Female Eagle Scouts in 2020. Her Eagle Scout project, Project Holiday Joy, exemplified her commitment to serving her community, by providing gifts, holiday stockings, and household necessities to over 60 families in Orange County during the Christmas season.

Taleah's Scouting journey continues with Venturing Crew 774, a high adventure program for youth ages 14-20. As the Expedition Leader/President, Taleah led the first-ever Scout unit to conduct an expedition to Antarctica in December 2021, an incredible accomplishment that earned her the prestigious Eagle Scout rank at a special National Eagle Court of Honor held aboard the MV Plancius, surrounded by the pack ice of the continent.
